New Patients
All patients start with Dr. Solow with a thorough comprehensive clinical examination.
This typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours; dental cleaning or xrays are done after this appointment. The exam entails showing the patient and discussing the soft tissues and oral cancer check,
masticatory muscle palpation, bite relationship in chewing excursions, periodontal recession and bone support levels, dental decay and restoration status, TMJ Doppler ultrasound, and
computerized occlusal analysis when appropriate, and the specifics of oral hygiene.
Patients consistently remark what a positive and informative experience this was and how much impact understanding how to prevent future dental work meant to them.
We are very conservative with xrays and prefer to get previous xray series, if possible. Patients need to have proper xrays to detect pathology not seen clinically.
The dental cleaning and xray update interval is individualized for each patient. Payment for dental services is due at the end of each appointment via check, Mastercard/Visa.
Patients with dental insurance pay us directly and receive a computer-generated insurance form for the patient to send in for reimbursement.
We have no relationship with any insurance company and our focus is providing the most appropriate care independent of insurance carrier constraints.
